Club Academies

Many clubs now look to develop their more talented youngsters within the framework of their junior coaching.

In conjunction with our high performance coaching partners at In-Touch we can set up your Academy to focus on those youngsters and help to bring them through quicker than they might otherwise through normal colts training sessions.

Typically we would look to select around 8-10 colts in up to two age groups of no more than 3 years apart, e.g. 12-15 who would benefit from extra and more focussed coaching.

Academy colts would benefit from the personalised coaching, to the individual, age appropriate, strength and conditioning programs prescribed and will provide coaching of the highest quality based at your club for your elite colts.

We don’t look to replace your existing coaching; we look to enhance it through extra focused coaching for those pupils who have ambitions to play to a higher level, perhaps district or county level.

We have strong links with Surrey County Cricket Club and will look to recommend gifted players to them as and when appropriate. We also work closely with local cricket clubs and we hope that they too will see an added benefit to working with your Academy.

The Academy Programme

We would look to develop your players not just as cricketers but also as athletes and we would expect dedication, determination and hard work. The athletes who are involved, win or lose will apply themselves 100% on and off the field of play.

The programme will have an emphasis on skill sets within all areas of the game from playing against spin & pace, through to modern day Twenty20 cricket skills and a complete Strength and Conditioning programme.

The Academy Programme will deliver a holistic cricket development programme, which will provide talented young cricketers the opportunity to fulfill their potential via an all inclusive programme.

With a positive working relationship between the club, colts coaches and managers and the Academy coaches we can provide ongoing monitoring of the player’s development with the following:

• Strength and Conditioning
• Continuous skill and tactical development
• Continuous submission of progress reports

What next?

Ideally we would look to start our Academy programmes in the off season so we would be looking to work with your youngsters in the winter or spring and then continuing on into the summer months.
