David Simkins - Area Co-ordinator Worcester

David has been very lucky that he has been able to link his passion for sport with his work life and for over twenty years he has been involved in sports development.

He enjoys playing football, cricket, squash and outdoor pursuits. Recently he has also taken to dragon boat racing which helps satisfy his competitive side !

David's cricketing background revolves around being an enthusiastic club member who enjoys the whole ethos around club cricket. He particulary enjoys now inparting his experience to the younger element at the club and take pride in helping them progress through the club teams to become confident, competetitve and taletned cricketers.

He will be taking the UKCC level 2 course in October.

Josh Williams - Area Co-ordinator Birmingham

Coach Josh Williams

Having played cricket all his life, Josh decided to put back into cricket and become a coach.

Josh began coaching at Kings Heath Cricket Club and after being a head coach for 3 years he has taken up the role of junior coordinator, but still gets time to coach the under 11s.

He has gained additional experience working at summer camps, as well as helping to develop girls cricket in the local area.

A fully qualified level 2 cricket coach, Josh is very much looking forward to the role of Area Co-ordinator, responsible for developing cricket in the Birmingham area.

Mark Barber

Mark is a Level 2 Cricket Coach based in Leicestershire and has been involved in cricket for most of his life.

He became a regular member of his local club’s under 13's team when he was only 9 years old. Mark later moved on to play for Sileby Town, where he finished his junior playing years while getting into the Leicestershire under 16's squad and Leicestershire schools under 17's. Mark still plays cricket now for Sileby’s Senior Side.

His attention turned to coaching when his sons started playing. Mark now runs the under 15's side and assists the club head coach and junior manager.

Mark has a great passion for the sport and is keen to pass on his knowledge to younger players while allowing them to flourish by guiding their improvement and participation.

Stuart Clark

Stuart is a UKCC2 qualified coach who began coaching 6 years ago running two after school sessions for Packington Primary school for 2 years to create a flow of younger talent into the Packington senior side.

He was then offered a role at District level with Leicestershire CCC and since then has been involved with the academy work, trials and more recently was successful in applying for the County under 11 Manager position.

Stuart played cricket for Loughborough Carillon Old Boys CC for 20 years, and was also on the committee . He then transferred to Packington CC and played in Derbyshire cricket leagues for 7 years serving as a player, chairman & skipper . In 2010 he moved clubs to Gracedieu Park CC to play back in Leicestershire cricket.

Having previously worked in the parcel courier industry, Stuart is now working in cricket / multi sports coaching as well as applying for a UKCC 3 course next year.

Coach Stuart Clark

Ollie Taylor

Ollie is an accomplished Level 2 cricket coach, looking to make a further step up the coaching ladder and acquire his level 3 qualification in the very near future.

He has been playing cricket since the age of 5, playing all of his youth cricket at Halesowen Cricket Club.

Ollie currently plays at Romsley & Hunnignton and in 2009 he took up the role of junior cricket development coordinator when the club had 2 junior sides. The club has progressed to now having 5 teams and regular coaching sessions both during the season and in the off season.

In 2010 Ollie coached and managed the Worcestershire County Under 12's squad. Ollie is also part of the UK Fire Service Cricket team which play regular representative matches throughout the season.
