Where can we hold the coaching? The ideal venue is a playground as that allows the ball to bounce in a true fashion which helps with the coaching. Anything from netball court size upwards is fine. The more space the better but we are more than used to odd shaped or small areas!
In the summer it may be possible and indeed preferable to use a field if it is fairly flat, on school premises and the grass isn't too long.
How many children can take part?
Between 10 to 20 children is the ideal amount but we can accommodate more if there is a member of staff present (e.g. curriculum time sessions).
Is it ok to have a mixture of boys and girls?
Very much so. Sessions are often mostly boys but we would like to get as many girls as possible coming along too. At some schools we have run girls only sessions where demand is high.
What if the children have never played before, is that ok?
Many of the children we coach have never played before and over the years we have converted a great number of children to playing cricket from having never played before.
Please complete our coaching request form from the website and we will aim to get back to you inside one working day. Please bear in mind that spring and summer sessions do get booked up very quickly and often early in the year so it is advisable to book ahead for consecutive terms to avoid disappointment.
Will we need to provide any equipment?
No, we will bring everything we need.
How do I know my coach will be good?
All of our coaches hold Level 2 coaching certificates or above or very occasionally Level 1 qualified coaches who have completed the Working in Schools coaching module.
Are the coaches CRB checked?
All of our coaches have an up to date CRB and also have first aid and safeguarding certificates.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have our own company insurance and we are happy to email documents to you if you require it.
