Ben is Head Coach at Epsom CC Twenty20 Cricket camps and a UKCC level 2 qualified coach, coaching at Epsom Cricket Club since 2005.
Ben graduated with a sports science degree in 2001 having specialised in bio-mechanics and video analysis. He plays for Epsom Cricket Club having been in the 1st XI for over 10 years. Ben also played and captained his university side for 2 years.
Luke coaches at our Epsom CC camps with his brother Ben. Luke is a level 2 UKCC qualified coach, who also plays for Epsom Cricket Club.
He has coached different age groups from the ages of 7-18 for the last 5 to 6 years.
Luke plays 1st XI Cricket at Epsom and was played for Surrey CCC under 16s and under 17s as well as captaining his university team.
Les is a UKCC Level 2 qualified cricket coach, and coaches and manages Colts teams at Chessington CC.
He has been, and is currently coaching on some Surrey Development Courses, and has also coached in schools.
Les plays, when time permits, for Riverside C.C. and also at Chessington, helping the Colts players take the step into adult cricket.
He has two Cricket playing Sons, and has also managed their various football teams over the years.
John is a UKCC Level 2 qualified coach and has played senior club cricket in Middlesex and Surrey. He coaches at Woking & Horsell CC and occasionally plays for the 5th team which affords him the opportunity to support colts as they move into senior cricket.
John taught Physical Education in Surrey for over 20 years and more recently has worked for the Association for Physical Education. Part of his remit there was to liaise with the ECB regarding player and coach development. He has considerable experience in assessing physical movement and curriculum design.
John is qualified to Level Two in British Sign Language and is always looking for opportunities to work with Deaf cricketers.
Lindsay has 40 years of cricket and coaching experience, and has played for Sussex School, Sussex Young Cricketers, MCC Young Professionals, and Sussex County Cricket Club.
He first qualified as a coach at 16, and was already helping coach the Sussex Schools teams and Sussex Young Cricketers before he was 19. Lindsay qualified as an Advanced Coach at the age of 21, the youngest to do so in the country.
Lindsay became a Staff Coach and Tutor with the ECB, and was Head Coach of The Ken Barrington Cricket Centre at The Oval, where he was also part of the Surrey CCC Development team, and was coach to the Surrey U14, U15 and Young Cricketers. Lindsay was also Surrey Ladies Head Coach.
He also played and coached at Waverley District Cricket Club in Sydney Australia, and was coach to Sydney University.
Lindsay wrote "Master Class" in The Cricketer magazine, and was also a commentator and summariser for BBC Radio. He is still a playing member for the MCC, and has captained various MCC teams over the last 34 years.
Tom is a UKCC 1 qualified cricket coach. Despite his young years he has a host of cricketing experience including being a successful level 1 qualified umpire and has officiated in the Surrey youth set up.
He has been active in helping the Long Ditton youth set up go from strength to strength. He was awarded clubman of the year in 2010 for his work in the colts section where he also played a role in helping the club gain club mark accreditation from Surrey. This year he has helped to initiate an U17 club team to bridge the gap between colts and senior teams.
Away from cricket, Tom is a qualified level 6 football referee, and currently officiates at both the Fulham and Chelsea Academies. He has also been a member of a County Cup Final refereeing team and has been identified by the F.A as one to watch for the future via the fast track route.
Tom is an off spin bowler and a steady batsman, in both the 2nd XI and development side at Long Ditton cricket club in the Fullers League, and has captained the sides at Colts level.
Richard is a UKCC Level 2 coach working towards UKCC3. As ex Community Coach of Surrey Cricket he has learnt a lot about development coaching and working in schools.
He coached the Surrey Under 13 Girls in 2009 which they reached the national final on and just missed out against Yorkshire.
Richard is also Head Coach of the Outer London Surrey district from ages U-11 to U-14 and also is Lead Coach on Surrey's Development courses.
Richard plays for Chessington CC in the first team as a left arm Spinner and is Captain and Head Coach of the Development Squad. He loves playing cricket and coaching and specially has an interest in Girls cricket and working with children who have disabilities.
Stuart is a UKCC Level 2 qualified cricket coach who coaches and manages colts teams at Spelthorne Sports CC.
He started playing cricket in 1968, and has played club cricket in long spells since then, at both Ashford and Staines & Laleham CC's.
Stuart is currently playing for Spelthorne Sports CC.
Mike is a UKCC2 coach whose cricketing history started representing Surrey Association of Boys clubs at the age of 16, including a match at the Oval against Surrey Young cricketers, progressing through junior local cricket with Culvers Sports Club which then saw him play his cricket with the Private Banks 1st XI. Subsequent spells at Kingswood CC (Slazenger League) and Malden Wanderers (Surrey Championship) were good experience, before settling at Epsom CC in 1994, after spending 3 years working abroad. Mike successfully played for the 1st XI, before skippering the 2nd and 3rd XIs to three Championship promotions.
Having mentored Colts for several years playing under his captaincy, Mike's interest is now more focussed on coaching the youth and players of the future being a recent transition away from the playing scene. An active coach at Epsom CC, Mike relishes the challenge of widening the scope for youngsters participating in such a fine sport.
A semi professional football career with clubs including Banstead Athletic, Dorking, Redhill and Merstham was followed up with a 10 year refereeing spell culminating in being awarded two County Cup Finals in consecutive seasons. Good interpersonal skills honed during an illustrious business career in the finance industry compliments his coaching skills in what hopes to be the next career chapter.
